Thanks for posting the list! The hottest 100 is fabulous this year. I didn't vote but lots of my favourites made it "Chasing Cars" Snow Patrol, anything Hill Top Hoods, "King without a Crown" Matisyahu, Scissor Sisters, Josh Pyke.

It's kind of a shame that the top 20 or so are just the most popular songs right at the moment, and not necessarily the best over the whole year. I'll so be buying the album though, I love compliations!!!

d'jen - no worries! I couldn't find it on the JJJ site so I got it from SMH - I also like Josh Pyke and had his songs in my shortlist (but my shortlist was like 30 songs long!). I bought the one last year and was pleasantly suprised, so I might be in on it this year too =o)

for the first time since i was about 18, i actually didn't vote in the hottest 100 this year... kinda meant to, but then just didn't. and weirdly, it's probably one of the best years yet!

mars - now what will you do next year?! If you do vote or intentionally forget then it might not be any good...!

I'm a big fan of the Infadels - Love Like Semtex. But then I didn't vote - I soooo totally forgot it was on this year! Must be getting old.

I'm a big B-Jaxx fan and thought that Hey U would've featured, although another fave, Hot Chip, did make it. Thanks for the BDO wrap up.

m - I don't know who they are?! I need to listen to the radio some more...!

lulu - I taped it all one year! I can usually give it or take it, but I've really enjoyed the last two or three - we have Augie March too! I wasn't that big a fan of the rest of the album but still loved that song =o)

linda - Me too - it's so catchy!!

OH NO! I posted a comment yesterday, but it's not here! What a pain.

I think it said something to the effect of "yay, another Hottest 100 fan!".

Voted for: 68, Darren Hanlon, Happiness is a Chemical; 58, Sarah Blasko, Always on this Line; 47, Pony Up!, The Truth About Cats and Dogs (is that they die); 38, Josh Pyke, Memories and Dust.

Also voted for Augie March (Cold Acre, because I figured One Crowded Hour would do fine by itself... sure enough... I was stoked- to the point of jumping on the couch), Belle & Sebastion; Bob Evans (the one song that didn't make is); Boy Least Likely To; Damien Rice; Long Blondes.

4/10... not bad. Aiming for a better average next year (although 40% is a pass in some countries).

amanda - you gotta hate that! I think that Josh Pyke song is the one I like the most, and I love the Cold Acre film clip - do you know where it was filmed? Coz I SWEAR it looks like part of Canberra after the bushfires... 4/10 is still good - I think you beat The Hun!

yo enny!

Me and my mates just saw that film clip this morning and said the exact same thing.

Don't know where they got that ball from though..

jamesk - I'd forgotten I'd written that in the comments, and was watching jtv this morning and figured I'd make a post about to see if anyone can offer any help - CAN YOU READ MY MIND?! =o)
