Still Alive!

Posting from Bangkok in Thai Blogger - it's a bit sad that I don't need the English to work out what I should be doing.

Thailand is hot.

Phuket town looked a lil scungy, Phi Phi was very touristy but with a fantastic view and a long boat trip, Kuraburi (Phang Nga) was beautiful and I overcame my water/height fears and went snorkelling, Patong Beach was just like the Gold Coast but with even more obnoxious Aussies (and Coyote girls! ick!) and Bangkok is frightening and busy (but we're feeling a bit better about it after a nap and a bite to eat).

Obviously I'm not updating as much as hoped - may be one or two more before we return, else stay tuned for the 8th when we're back down under.

Yay! I'm glad everything is going ok :D

I have only been in Bangkok iarport but I always figured thailand would be similar to Bali, pretty but a bit scungy and very touristy. Why is it that you always see the worst examples of the Australian population while you are OS. When I was in the airport in Thaliand I overheard these totally bogan Aussie shouting at the currency exchnage lady.

Keep having a wonderful time! Take lots of pics :D

Note to amanda: post Enny's replacement cd BEFORE she gets back to the country. Just a thought.

Glad everything's going ok, you didn't say whether you're enjoying yourselves, so I hope you are.

Ooh, lovely. I visited Thailand in February. I really wanted to like Bangkok because most of the other people I'd met had hated it, but I can't say I liked it there. I ended up hiding out in the air-conditioned shopping malls and cinemas.

d'jen - that's a pretty accurate guess - we were greeted in sydney airport by a fat whitey coach driver yelling at a black coach driver about touting customers... ah, so (NOT) good to be home! Lots of pics to come soon :o)

m'crit - I can only imagine how terrible the US would be with cranky yankees AND bogans!

amanda - heh heh, no worries! We had a ball, I just forgot to mention - update to come soon!

susanne - funny, isn't it - it's just hard to love! We spend as much time shopping as we did outside I think :o)
